Access to certain features of the Service requires authentication through GitHub OAuth. By authenticating, you:
- Confirm that your GitHub account is in good standing and that you have the authority to grant access
- Authorize us to access your public profile information and repository data as described in our Privacy Policy
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are involved in abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activities.

Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the mods, code, and media you publish through the OpenMods platform. By publishing content on our platform, you grant OpenMods a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and cache your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
Open Source Commitment
The OpenMods platform itself is released under the MIT License. Individual mods distributed through the platform are governed by their respective licenses as specified in their GitHub repositories.
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you publish. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to distribute the content
- Your content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Your content does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components
- Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations

When using the OpenMods platform, you agree not to:
api API Usage
Access to the OpenMods API is provided to registered developers. By using the API, you agree to:
- Respect all published rate limits and usage quotas
- Keep your API keys secure and not share them with unauthorized parties
- Not use the API in a manner that degrades the experience for other users
- Comply with any additional API-specific guidelines published in our Documentation
We reserve the right to revoke API access for any user who violates these terms or engages in abusive API usage.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
You may terminate your account at any time by disconnecting your GitHub authentication. Any published mods will remain available unless you explicitly request their removal prior to account termination.
balance Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which OpenMods operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
